A Little Light Reading..

Seriously, I’d like some please. I am sick of this weather. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer but this one has been similar to living in Death Valley 24-7. Anywho, Life is good, the kidlets are back in school and the hubby and I just celebrated our ten year anniversary. I haven’t done much writing in the past few months with all the craziness going on but I promise I’m back. To reward those who actually read this nonsense, I’ll be posting the first two chapters of my book later tonight. Until then, my darlin’s..keep it dirty!

Girls just wanna have buckets..

Crazyville…That’s pretty much what’s my life’s been like lately. Friends and family have visited, been working on our vow renewal (hubby and I have been together for 10 years), kids are finishing up the school year and I was privileged to see some very awesome short-alls at a recent Nascar race. For those who don’t know what short-alls are, just cut the legs off a pair of overalls and make them shorts. It’s best worn with no shirt and some lobster-red sunburn.  Here’s a glimpse of what I’m talking about. This one kept his shirt on..at least what wasn’t cut off and tied around his girlfriend’s head.

I think he spilled more beer then drank it.

I have managed to get some more writing done but I’m not happy with a section of it after re-reading it 867398476948756 times. It will probably be tossed and I’ll scratch it out all over again. Thank gawd for my few groupies (one can pretend) who are reading for me. I wish I could write faster so you could get the next chapter. Soon, I promise! Well, my new washer just started singing..oh how I love it. I think I may name it. That would be my cue to get off my arse and get something done around here. If you get time, check out Before You Were Hot..good times..thankfully I’ll never have to go through that again.

Cinderella has to do her chores today. She has a date tonight with Jason Aldean and Brooks and Dunn…..:D

Well, after a long week in the real world and hitting Chapter 4 in my book, it’s time for some well-deserved relaxation with the hubby. We’re heading to the Beer and Bourbon Festival and have VIP tickets..six hours of some of the best beer, bourbon and bbq offered. I am so looking forward to it. Who knows what kind of inspiration I may get while I’m there..hehe

promise me, Layna, to walk among others unchanged until the time
is right. They would fear you only for the simple fact that they
don’t understand just what you are. Promise me that,
daughter…”
Those were the last words her mother whispered just before
she took her dying breath. Layna was now all alone…

“What do you want from me?”
Her hands going to the sides of her head, as if to block
out the world, Layna dropped to her knees. Adrastos started to
speak and hesitated, running to her. He went down on a knee in
front of her, removing her hands and gently lifting her gaze to
meet his.
“My life is cursed, please reconsider what you ask of me. I
couldn’t bear to bring what follows me into your world..”
Her voice was a mere whisper as she looked up to him.
Adrastos stared into the tempest that surged in her eyes.
He knew that he found the one thing that could give his life
meaning. Brushing a stray strand of hair from her eyes, it
pained him to see her this way. Normally his emotions ran cold
but with her, everything had changed…
